NIX18 is an initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in collaboration with a large number of partners. The campaign is aimed at providing information about alcohol and its effects on minors. The NIX18 website also offers information and advice on protecting your child from alcohol, how to explain the importance of not drinking alcohol under the age of 18, and the benefits of abstaining from alcohol before turning 18. Dutch law states that anyone under the age of 18 years old cannot purchase or drink alcohol. Laws can be different in different countries, please check the laws in your own country regarding the minimum age.
